2025-26 WBA Basketball Tryouts
Registration is now open for the WBA 2025-26 basketball season tryouts. Players in grades 4-8th are welcome. Tryouts will be held the weeks of October 20th (Boys) and October 27th (Girls). Players will be separated by grade and attend two evaluation sessions at Middlebrook Middle School. Each session is 1.5hrs where players will be evaluated on the skills and game play by independent evaluators and WBA coaches for those age groups.

Cost
There is no fee to register for tryouts.
Other Info
Players should plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before the start of their tryout sessions so that they may check-in.
Upon check-in they will receive a numbered penny that is to be worn during the evaluations.

What if my child has never played travel basketball?
Tryouts are open to everyone in grades 4th through 8th no matter their experience level.
What if my child cannot attend the tryouts?
Your child must attend at a minimum one of the two evaluation sessions in order to be eligible for consideration.
When will my child find out if they made the team?
Teams will be determined at the end of the evaluation period and communicated within a couple days.
Who conducts the evaluations?
Evaluations are done by WBA coaches and by independent evaluators.
May I stay and watch?
No, parents must drop their child off to check-in. Children will exit at the end of evaluations and may be picked up outside the gym.
